Hospice care in Glendale and Burbank
Glendale and Burbank sit west of the San Gabriel Valley, across the Verdugo Mountains. Much of the hospice care here begins at the end of a hospital stay.

Coming home from the hospital
Many Glendale and Burbank families begin hospice after a hospital admission. Discharges from Glendale Memorial, Adventist Health Glendale, Providence Saint Joseph in Burbank, or USC Verdugo Hills in La Crescenta can usually be coordinated with the discharge planner before the patient leaves.
The practical work is unglamorous: a hospital bed placed where there is room for it, oxygen delivered, prescriptions filled the same day, and someone at the door who knows what is arriving. Sorting that out before discharge is the difference between a calm homecoming and a chaotic one.
Apartments, condos, and hillside streets
A lot of the housing in these two cities is multifamily. Elevators, gated garages, guest parking rules, and buzzer systems all affect whether a visit goes smoothly, especially for an aide carrying equipment.
Tell us on the first call: which floor, is there an elevator, is a gate code needed, and where can a car legally stop. It takes thirty seconds and prevents a great deal of standing outside with a doorbell that nobody answers.
Houses on hills and narrow streets
Above Glendale and in the Burbank hills, driveways climb, streets narrow, and turning a delivery van around can take planning. For a patient who uses a walker or a wheelchair, the route from the car to the door matters as much as the room where the bed goes.
A first-visit assessment covers the layout. Describing it in advance lets the equipment order match the house rather than the other way round.
How to begin
